Solving 7 Common Horse Problems - DVD
(PAL formatted to suit Australian T.V.'s/dvd players)
Running time - 60 minutes

Solving 7 Common Horse ProblemsYou'll be surprised to see how easily some of the most persistent horse training problems can be solved when using Frank's Gentle Solutions approach.

Topics covered in this DVD include:

Catching the difficult horse
Learn how to approach your horse using non-threatening techniques.

Proper foot handling
Frank demonstrates the art of desensitizing a horses legs. From here he gets the horse comfortable with having his feet lifted and worked on.

Clippers & ears
Frank works with a horse that has never been clipped before and that resists having his ears touched. Frank works patiently with this anxious horse to get him comfortable and accepting of the sound, then vibration of the clippers.

Proper Bitting & hard to bit & bridle horses
Trying to place a bit in a horses mouth can be a frustrating experience; Franks shows how it can be made a pleasurable experience for your horse. Learn also how to make the bridle and bit a comfortable fit for your horse.

The pull back horse (when tied)
Teach your horse that it is far more comfortable to move into pressure rather than pull away from it.

23ft belly ropeFor the horse that pulls back we offer a 23ft belly rope. Made from 12mm marine double braid rope, this rope is soft, yet strong enough to tackle the problem of the pull-back horse.

This rope also doubles as a 23ft training/lead rope. Ideal for playing with your horse on a long line or for schooling in trailer loading. It is strongly advised that you study the technique of dealing with the pull-back horse as shown on this dvd BEFORE attempting to use this rope for this problem behaviour.

Stable Sour
Horses that resist going too far beyond their home can be a real challenge. Frank meets this challenge by assisting the horse to build up his confidence and thus extend his comfort zone.

Herd Bound
Horses that don't like to leave their buddies while out on a ride can make life difficult. Learn how to gradually get your horse comfortable with leaving the group.

In this DVD Frank Bell demonstrates some of his most effective theories:

3 T's: Theory, Techniques, and Timing - all critical for effective natural horsemanship communication.
Friends first - always.
Give the horse the best deal to start.
If your intent is right, it's not a fight.
Make the wrong thing difficult, the right thing easy.
The black and white zones.
The "king of concepts" - V-thinking.

Once these concepts are well digested, it all gets easier because the horse trainer now understands the theory, the technique, and timing critical to success. A full understanding of this work will change the way you relate to horses . . . forever.

What they are saying...

"I've never seen Frank confront a horse problem he couldn't solve. And this DVD shows many of his best techniques for dealing with those vexing little problems that keep us from having a 'good horse day.'"

Suzanne Martin,
Houston, Texas

"Horses are often testing the boundaries with us...looking to see what they can and cannot do at any moment. This DVD deals with those thorny little problems and provides us with the tools to solve new -as yet unencountered problems-just as Frank would do. This award-winning video should be in every horse person's video library."

"Frank Bell is one trainer in this field whose dedication stands above the rest. His 7-Step Safety System of horse gentling is geared specifically to the safety of horse and handler. He is not only a seasoned trainer, he also cares deeply about his work."
Robert Pliskin, Ohio

I just wanted to say how totally impressed I am with the dvds I have seen so far, I have had a few issues with my TB horse Freddy nothing too drastically serious but never the less we both lost a bit of confidence along the way, I have watched and rewatched your 7 SSS, and communication in the saddle, it all makes so much sense, so as soon as I feel I have the exercises truly planted in my mind I shall start then with all what you advise. Thanks again for the easy way of explaining things so clearly.

Cris Magnabosco

Hi Libby,
Cris won another ride with your halter and equipedic saddle pad. What a way to celebrate your 60th birthday. He destroyed the field winning 81 km race by over an hour. Not only winning heavyweight division carrying 101.5 kilos but also best overall time. There were 105 horses in the ride. It was very hot and humid and hard to keep the horses body temp down.
